The film recounts the Odyssey of Greek refugees who fled Odessa for Greece in 1919 and settled on a river delta in the north of the country. It follows their lives through the historical events that shaped the country, the years between the wars, the dictatorship of Metaxas, the Occupation, up until the end of the Civil War.
